Job Description
Join Slumberland Furniture as a Warehouse Team Member and play a crucial role in merchandise movement and customer service. You will be responsible for storing, moving, and distributing products efficiently, while ensuring customer satisfaction through accurate orders and inventory management.
Primary Objective & Scope of Position
This position involves merchandise movement, training, customer service, and safety practices. You will lead by example, provide training, communicate professionally, and maintain a safe working environment.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently move and organize merchandise to optimize space.
- Prepare merchandise for display, storage, or delivery.
- Utilize POS system for inventory management.
- Ensure accuracy in customer orders and system records.
- Lead and train other team members.
- Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and vendors.
- Maintain inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Follow safety policies and procedures to prevent damage and ensure a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (or currently working towards).
- Basic math skills.
- Knowledge of tools, hardware components, and product assembly.
- Valid driver's license.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- POS system knowledge is desirable.
