Job Description

We are looking for motivated Warehouse Team Members to join our team at Slumberland Furniture. As a Warehouse Team Member, you will play a vital role in merchandise movement, ensuring efficient storage, distribution, and customer satisfaction. This full-time position offers competitive pay starting at $17 per hour.

Primary Objective & Scope of Position

This position involves handling merchandise movement tasks, including storing, moving, and distributing products. As a Warehouse Team Member, you will also provide some training to other employees and lead by example.

Responsibilities

• Move merchandise within locations to optimize space efficiency.
• Transfer merchandise to/from the show floor, preparing for storage, delivery, or shipment.
• Utilize the point of sale (POS) system for inventory management.
• Ensure accuracy in customer orders and system records.
• Unload, receive, inspect, and process incoming merchandise. Assemble, inspect, and prepare outgoing items for shipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or working towards a GED.
• Basic math skills and knowledge of tools and hardware components.
• Valid driver's license and basic computer proficiency.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and vendors.

Other Duties

In addition to merchandise movement, responsibilities include training, customer service, providing support for grounds and building maintenance, and upholding safety standards in all operations.
