Warehouse Team Member

Job Description

We are currently seeking Warehouse Team Members to join our team at Slumberland Furniture. As a Warehouse Team Member, you will be responsible for handling merchandise movement, training other employees, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring a safe and organized facility.

Primary Objective & Scope of Position:

This position involves storing, moving, and distributing products efficiently. You will lead by example, train other employees, and ensure inventory accuracy through effective communication with customers and colleagues.

Essential Functions and Accountabilities:

• Condense merchandise in locations for space efficiency
• Move merchandise to and from show floor for storage, delivery, or shipment
• Use POS system to manage flow and ensure order accuracy
• Handle incoming and outgoing merchandise with care
• Provide training to other employees
• Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
• Maintain inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies
• Adhere to safety policies and practices
• Prevent damage to equipment/merchandise through proper handling
• Maintain a safe and organized facility

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Basic math skills
• Knowledge of tools, hardware components, and product assembly
• Valid driver's license
• Basic computer knowledge
• POS knowledge is desirable
