Position: Warehouse Worker

Salary: Competitive pay starting at $17 per hour
Primary Objective & Scope of Position:
This Warehouse Worker position at Slumberland Furniture involves the efficient movement of merchandise within the warehouse environment. Responsibilities also include training other employees, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring high levels of customer service.
Essential Functions and Accountabilities:
- Move and organize merchandise to maximize space efficiency.
- Handle merchandise for storage, display, delivery, or shipment.
- Use point of sale (POS) system for inventory management.
- Ensure accurate order fulfillment and maintain system records.
- Unload, inspect, and process incoming merchandise; assemble, wrap, and prepare outgoing items.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED (or working towards completion). Basic math skills. Knowledge of tools, hardware, and product assembly. Valid driver's license. Basic computer knowledge. POS experience is a plus.
Safety:
Adhering to safety protocols, maintaining equipment, and ensuring facility safety.
Additional:
Aside from primary duties, may be required to assist in other tasks as directed by supervisor. Maintenance of grounds and building, lighting assistance, and following company rules.
