Job Description
Slumberland Furniture is currently seeking Warehouse Workers with Forklift Operations experience to join our team. This full-time position offers competitive pay starting at $17 per hour. Primary Objective & Scope of Position:
- Responsible for merchandise movement: storing, moving, and distributing product.
- Lead by example and provide training to other employees.
Essential Functions and Accountabilities:
- Efficiently move and condense merchandise to optimize space.
- Handle merchandise for storage, delivery, and display purposes.
- Use the point of sale (POS) system to manage inventory flow.
- Ensure accuracy in customer orders and system records.
- Unpack, inspect, and assemble outgoing merchandise.
- Provide training to colleagues.
- Communicate professionally with customers and colleagues.
- Resolve inventory discrepancies and maintain accurate records.
- Follow safety policies and procedures to prevent damage and maintain a safe environment.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED (or currently working towards).
- Basic math skills.
- Knowledge of tools, hardware components, and product assembly.
- Valid driver's license.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- POS knowledge is desirable.
