Radiology Technologist Full Time Afternoons

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Radiology Technologist to join our team at Corewell Health. As a full-time Radiology Technologist, you will perform accurate and efficient diagnostic exams in various areas of general radiology. You will be responsible for providing the best possible images for interpretation, following radiation protection principles, and ensuring patient safety throughout procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality diagnostic exams following verification of patient identification and physician orders.
• Acquire accurate patient history and document in medical records.
• Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety.
• Operate diagnostic imaging equipment proficiently and follow policies for quality control.
• Provide procedural information and education to patients and families.
• Maintain competency in all assigned areas and assist in training of students/new hires.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a JRCERT Accredited Radiography program.
• Must be registered within 6 months of hire date.
• Certification by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Basic Life Support Certification for Healthcare Providers.

Working Conditions

Physical effort includes lifting and positioning patients, performing manipulative skills, and maintaining coordination. Employees may be exposed to ionizing radiation and other hazardous materials.
