1st Shift Part-Time Warehouse Associate

Job Type: Part-Time

Salary: $19.50 per hour

Job Description

Our warehouse operations ensure that products are properly received, selected, and delivered to our stores for our growing number of customers. Our warehouse environment includes both ambient and temperature-controlled areas, and our comprehensive training and safety program equips our associates with the skills needed for success.

Responsibilities

• Select and receive incoming stock efficiently to fulfill store orders.
• Relocate merchandise throughout the warehouse following product handling guidelines.
• Sort, organize, and strategically load merchandise for shipment and unload incoming shipments.
• Perform general cleaning to maintain warehouse appearance and safety standards.
• Participate in warehouse inventory counts and communicate effectively with peers, suppliers, and warehouse leadership.
• Provide input to improve processes and assist in achieving budgeted goals.
• Inspect products, consult the warehouse management on quality, safety, and sanitation issues.
• Independently make decisions within the delegated area of responsibility and notify management of any product quality, safety, and sanitation concerns.
• Follow ergonomic program and operate equipment according to safety guidelines.

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Physical Requirements

• Lift and place products weighing up to 45 pounds on pallets at various heights
• Move merchandise from warehouse stock and prepare product for store deliveries
• Sit, stand, bend, reach, grip, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk throughout the warehouse
• Work in varying temperatures, hot and cold, including outdoor and refrigerator/freezer environments
• Safely and properly operate powered industrial equipment
