Job Description
The 1st Shift Warehouse Operations Supervisor at Aldi will play a vital role in overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse. This includes scheduling, coordinating activities, monitoring processes, and implementing action plans to improve operational results. The supervisor will also communicate job responsibilities, provide performance expectations, and create a sense of teamwork among employees.
Responsibilities
- Establish and modify daily work schedules considering warehouse needs.
- Coordinate job activities and tasks of direct reports on a daily and/or extended basis.
- Oversee the daily receiving of product or oversees the daily selection and shipping of product to stores.
- Develop and implement action plans to improve operational results.
- Communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to assure mutual understanding and desired results.
- Collaborate with other divisional operational areas and communicate relevant information to fulfill duties.
- Provide input and recommendations to the Warehouse Operations Manager regarding changes to improve the operation.
- Recommend personnel for advancement and termination as appropriate.
- Supervise the timely, accurate, and efficient storage of product, supplies, and equipment.
- Manage direct reports to ensure they comply with established policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older.

- Ability to recommend, interpret, and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently work in varying temperatures, hot and cold.
- Continuously standing, frequently required to sit, bend, reach, grip, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk throughout the warehouse.
- Frequently required to lift and place product weighing up to 45 pounds on pallets at various heights.
