Job Description

ALDI is hiring for the position of 1st Shift Warehouse Package Handler. Employees will be responsible for efficiently receiving incoming stock, organizing and loading merchandise for shipment, warehouse cleaning, inventory counts, and more. This role requires effective communication and cooperation with warehouse leadership, peers, and suppliers, along with independent decision-making within the delegated area of responsibility. Experience in achieving budgeted goals, adhering to ergonomic program procedures, and operating equipment according to safety guidelines is essential. Other duties will be assigned as needed.

Responsibilities

• Select and receive incoming stock efficiently.
• Relocate merchandise according to product handling guidelines.
• Sort, organize, and load merchandise strategically for shipment.
• Perform general cleaning duties to achieve warehouse appearance standards and safety requirements.
• Participate in-taking warehouse inventory counts according to guidelines.
• Cooperate and interact effectively with peers, suppliers, and warehouse leadership.
• Provide input to warehouse management regarding changes to improve processes.
• Inspect product, consult with warehouse management regarding product quality, safety concerns, and sanitation issues.
• Act and decide independently within the delegated area of responsibility.
• Assist warehouse management in achieving budgeted goals.
• Perform all assigned tasks accurately, efficiently, and within company policy and procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Physical ability to lift and place products weighing up to 45 pounds on pallets at various heights, move merchandise, and operate powered industrial equipment.
• Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures, demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, perform basic arithmetic equations, and follow instructions with attention to detail.
