Job Description
The Piedmont Triad Regional Council (PTRC) is seeking a highly motivated Accountant to join our dynamic team. The individual should be a CPA candidate with a strong background in general accounting principles. The accountant will be responsible for tasks such as account reconciliations, financial report analysis, and developing accounting procedures. This role involves working closely with the Finance Director to ensure compliance with fiscal regulations and budgetary requirements. The successful candidate will demonstrate analytical thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. A Bachelor's degree in accounting and up to two years of professional accounting experience are required for this position.
Responsibilities
- Perform account reconciliations and financial analysis.
- Develop and modify accounting procedures and policies.
- Assist in preparing fiscal reports and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Exercise independent judgment and initiative in completing assignments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited institution.
- Current CPA candidate with up to two years of professional accounting experience.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret and apply rules and regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and modern office practices.
