Job Description

The Piedmont Triad Regional Council (PTRC) is looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Specialist to join its team. This part-time role involves performing technical accounting tasks, including general ledger management, account reconciliation, report preparation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and assisting with payroll functions. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with accounting procedures and contribute to the overall financial operations of the Regional Council.

Responsibilities

  • Manage general ledger activities and ensure accuracy in financial data.
  • Conduct account reconciliation and prepare financial reports.
  • Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and assist with payroll processes.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of general accounting principles, budgeting processes, and internal controls.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and modern office practices.
