Job Description
Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. is looking for a skilled engineer to join our team dedicated to expanding our Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) to government customers. As an Amazon Dedicated Cloud Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, operate and engineer large-scale systems, and gain top-notch experience in cloud computing.
This role involves being part of a world-class team, operating and engineering systems at a massive scale, and gaining exquisite experience in cloud computing. You will become an expert at EC2 platform diagnosis, response, measurement, and automation and be able to design and build operational scalability, impacting government services' efficiency and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and engineer systems on a massive scale.
- Participate in deep diving to root cause customer issues, investigate trending metrics, and consult with top engineers at Amazon.
- Automate operational issues and discuss radical new approaches.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of systems administration experience (Linux/Windows or Networking).
- 3+ years experience with cloud computing technologies.
- Strong debugging and systems analysis skills.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills at all levels, from application to network to host.
- Experience with at least one scripting language.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above.
