Job Description

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. is seeking a talented engineer to join our dedicated team focused on expanding the Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) to government customers. As an Amazon Dedicated Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for diagnosing, responding to, measuring, and automating the EC2 platform, operating and engineering systems on a massive scale, and gaining top-notch experience in cloud computing. You will design and build the operational scalability that sustains the platform's growth, with a visible impact on the efficiency and effectiveness of government services for our nation.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and engineer systems on a massive scale in a fast-paced environment
• Become an expert at EC2 platform diagnosis, response, measurement, and automation
• Design and build the operational scalability sustaining the platform's growth
• Measure success by the impact on government services' efficiency and effectiveness

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of systems administration experience (Linux/Windows or Networking)
• 3+ years of experience with cloud computing technologies
• Strong debugging and systems analysis skills
• Excellent troubleshooting skills at all levels
• Experience working with at least one scripting language
• Excellent communication skills
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Relevant work experience or a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
