Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Area Manager, Critical Infrastructure to join Flexential's team. As the Area Manager, you will oversee the operation and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment in data center(s), ensuring mission-critical uptime of 99.999% or higher. You will provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to a team of Critical Infrastructure Engineers, driving operational excellence and efficiency across markets.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions

  • Manage all aspects of data center operations to achieve 99.999% uptime and compliance with SLAs.
  • Lead cross-market initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Mentor and coach the team on best practices.
  • Identify and implement improvements for operational and financial efficiencies.
  • Create and follow company policies and procedures.
  • Oversee disaster recovery exercises and facility maintenance.
  • Prepare reports on facility performance and customer utilization.
  • Develop and implement maintenance procedures and training for staff.
  • Conduct facility tours and configure equipment monitoring systems.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of management experience with 5 or more direct reports.
  • Experience in root cause analysis and critical infrastructure environments.
  • Military or trade experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced certifications in relevant disciplines.
  • 5+ years of data center experience with operational emphasis.
  • 3+ years of management experience with direct reports.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, walk, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 50lbs.
  • Advanced keyboard usage and occasional travel.

Base Pay Range

  • Estimated annual salary range of $112,700 - $145,400.
