Job Description

Sevita, a leading provider of home and community-based specialized health care, is seeking dedicated individuals to join our mission-driven team as Caregivers. In this role, you will work closely with our clinical staff to provide support and assistance to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, empowering them to live as independently as possible.

Responsibilities

• Transportation and support out in the community, including outings/field trips, medical appointments, and shopping.
• Assist with daily living skills, such as meal preparation and medication administration.
• Provide guidance on a range of developmental goals, including community participation, household budgeting, exercise, nutrition, and vocational responsibilities.
• Support individuals with living skills, such as personal hygiene, grooming, and bathing.
• Assist individuals in redirecting agitated or aggressive behaviors.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 5 years of documented caregiving experience to substitute education.
• Minimum age of 18.
• Access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.
• Successful clearance of background checks.
• Reliable and responsible attitude.
