Professional Engineering Consultants (PEC) is seeking an Experienced Construction Inspector to join our passionate and collaborative team in Lawrence, KS. As a construction inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the compliance of various construction projects with regulations and specifications, contributing to the success of our diverse range of projects across the nation and worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Inspect civil construction projects to guarantee adherence to regulations and contract specifications.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, including infrastructure, transportation, and site plans.
• Attend meetings, resolve issues, and make recommendations for necessary changes.
• Prepare inspection reports, track quantities, review contractor estimates, and conduct final inspections.

Requirements

• Five or more years of construction inspection experience, with KDOT Inspection Experience preferred.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work 50+ hours per week and willingness to travel for projects as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software.
• Ability to operate necessary tools and equipment for the job.
