Job Description
The Data Center Operations Technician I role at Flexential is a critical 24x7x365 position that involves providing physical and Level II technical support to customers. The position requires a strong understanding of Facilities infrastructure, Windows OS, PC troubleshooting, and management applications. Technicians must uphold professional conduct while resolving issues and interacting with customers and internal resources.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
- Provide timely resolution and escalation of Facility and customer issues.
- Maintain a professional attitude and conduct in data center operations.
- Troubleshoot and document technical issues using Flexential's ticketing system.
- Follow Flexential Support and Data Center policies and procedures.
- Support 24/7 operations and perform remote hands work.
- Assist in physical and logical installations of Flexential services.
- Maintain Data Center cleanliness and conduct Facilities Rounds.
- Facilitate shipping/receiving processes for Customers and Flexential Deliveries.
- Operate and Manage Badge Access Security System.
- Assist the Critical Infrastructure Manager (CIM) when needed.
- Maintain cabling and general inventory levels.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Operating systems.
- Self-starter with strong motivation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail, reliability, and meeting deadlines.
- Preferably 1 year of experience in an IT Support environment.
- AA, BS, or High School Diploma.
- Network +, Security + and/or CCNA certifications desired.
- Microsoft MCP or MCSA certification preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
- Aptitude to work in cold temperature environments.
- Capability to handle heavy objects and install cabling.
Hourly Pay Range:
($20.30 - $23.81)
Pay range varies based on experience, location, and qualifications.
