Data Center Operations Technician I

Job Description

The Data Center Operations Technician I position at Flexential is a crucial role responsible for providing physical and Level II technical support to customers and resources. This role requires a strong understanding of Facilities infrastructure, Windows operating systems, PC troubleshooting, and management applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide timely resolution and/or escalation of Facility and customer issues.
• Maintain professionalism while performing data center duties.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and document them using Flexential's ticketing system.
• Follow Flexential Support and Data Center policies, processes, and procedures.
• Offer local access and escort for vendors and carriers.
• Perform remote hands work for both internal and external customers.
• Support 24/7 operations and work any shift in a 24x7x365 environment.
• Assist in physical and logical installations of Flexential services.
• Maintain cleanliness and security of the Data Center and supporting areas.
• Process inbound and outbound shipping/receiving.
• Operate and Manage Badge Access Security System.
• Assist the Critical Infrastructure Manager as needed.
• Maintain cabling and inventory levels with local management.
• Perform other duties as required.

Required Qualifications

• Passion for providing excellent customer experience.
• Understanding of Windows and Microsoft Operating systems.
• Self-motivated with strong communication skills.
• Attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
• Ideal candidate possesses prior experience in IT Support environments.
• Education: AA, BS, or High School Diploma.
• Certifications: Network +, Security +, CCNA, Microsoft MCP or MCSA desirable.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to climb ladders, work in cold environments, maneuver heavy objects and lift cabling.

Hourly Pay Range

• The hourly pay range is estimated to be ($19.33 - $22.67) depending on experience and qualifications.
