Data Center Operations Technician I

Job Description

The Data Center Operations Technician I at Flexential is a key position tasked with providing physical and Level II technical support to customers and resources, ensuring the smooth operation of data center activities. This role demands a solid understanding of Facilities infrastructure, Windows operating systems, PC troubleshooting, and management applications.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions

• Timely resolution and escalation of Facility and customer issues.
• Troubleshooting and documenting technical issues using the ticketing system.
• Supporting 24/7 operations, including shift work in a 24x7x365 environment.
• Performing installations of services and maintaining data center cleanliness.
• Coordinating shipping/receiving and managing security access.

Required Qualifications

• Passion for customer service excellence.
• Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Operating systems.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Previous experience in IT support environment preferred.
• Relevant certifications such as Network+, Security+, CCNA, MCP, or MCSA are desirable.

Physical Requirements

• Climbing, working aloft, and lifting heavy objects.
• Working in varied temperature environments.
• Handling cabling installations and other physical tasks.

Hourly Pay Range

• The estimated pay range for this position is $19.33 - $22.67 depending on experience and qualifications.
