Job Description

Wind Crest, a beautiful 84-acre continuing care retirement community, is seeking a Grounds Worker I to join our General Services Grounds Department. The position entails assisting the Maintenance Mechanic and Grounds Supervisor with maintaining all exterior areas, ensuring the community remains picturesque and welcoming for our residents.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm

Compensation: Grounds Worker I: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Assist in the maintenance of landscaping.
• Upkeep all exterior areas, including trash removal, weeding, pet stations, dog runs, and fencing.
• Install and maintain exterior signs.
• Assist residents with gardening.
• Assist in snow removal and equipment maintenance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one-year applicable work experience preferred.
• Must be able to work independently and use required equipment as per plans formulated by Grounds Management.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• May be required to work a non-standard schedule and be on-call as needed.
