Medical Technologist, Full-Time WEO Nights

Job Description

Johnson Regional Medical Center is looking for a dedicated and skilled Medical Technologist to join our team on a full-time basis. As a Medical Technologist, you will be responsible for processing laboratory specimens, performing high-complexity testing, and ensuring quality control practices in the clinical laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Function in all areas of the clinical laboratory, including blood bank, chemistry, hematology, microbiology, and more.
• Perform high-complexity testing and moderate complexity testing.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and ensure quality improvement and quality assurance.
• Operate laboratory equipment safely and correctly, demonstrating knowledge of new testing methods and technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology, Chemistry, or Biology.
• Certification preferred.
• Proficient in English communication, both verbally and in writing.
• Basic computer knowledge and ability to operate laboratory equipment.

Physical Demands

• Normal hospital environment with exposure to biological, chemical, and mechanical hazards.
• Frequent standing and walking; occasional sitting and bending.
• Able to lift, carry, and push/pull up to 35 pounds.
