Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner to perform medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process. In this role, you will review medical records electronically through a web portal and perform focused, in-person physical exams on each Veteran. Your primary responsibility will be to electronically document the exam findings required by the VA through the web portal.

This role is strictly dedicated to performing Disability Assessments and does not involve making disability determinations, treating, or prescribing medication. On average, this position performs Disability Assessments on 3-5 Veterans per day, either full-time or part-time (2-3 days, Monday, Thursday, or Friday).

This is an in-person position and requires key attributes including interest in performing Independent Medical Assessments, analyzing and documenting medical data, strong time management skills, and proficient computer usage.

Responsibilities

• Perform focused, in-person physical exams on Veterans.
• Electronically document exam findings required by the VA.
• Strictly perform Disability Assessments and not make disability determinations, treat, or prescribe medication.

Requirements

• Hold a current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license.
