Job Description
Saint Vincent Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to join our Labor and Delivery team during night shifts. The role involves providing assistance to nursing personnel in patient care activities, including personal hygiene, vital signs monitoring, and maintaining a clean and comfortable environment for patients. This is a rewarding position that allows you to contribute to the well-being of our patients in a friendly and compassionate atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with personal hygiene and comfort measures for patients.
- Monitoring and recording vital signs.
- Changing bed linens and maintaining a clean and organized environment.
- May assist with serving and collecting food trays, as well as providing nourishment between meals.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Certification in CPR.
- Ability to follow instructions and guidelines for patient care activities.
