Job Description
The Physical Security Customer and Facility Installation Specialist at Flexential will play a crucial role in supporting the Physical Security Installation Lead Engineer, overseeing the planning, scheduling, and execution of installation projects relating to physical security systems. This position entails managing vendors, procuring technologies and labor, programming, troubleshooting, and maintaining physical security systems to ensure optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure servers, workstations, and other components for security systems.
- Act as the main point of contact for installation issues.
- Supervise and control security system installations.
- Procure equipment for installations, prepare progress and expense reports.
- Evaluate system performance and maintain technical knowledge.
- Coordinate construction projects and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Maintain and troubleshoot existing security systems.
- Manage projects through industry best practices.
- Design and implement new physical security solutions.
- Communicate effectively with end users and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in supervising vendors and projects.
- Technical expertise in low voltage security systems.
- Proficiency in reading site plans and schematics.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage high-pressure situations and resolve critical issues.
- Proficient in networking, switch configuration, and security systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- ASIS Certification is a plus.
- Experience with access control, CCTV, and intrusion systems.
- Knowledge of network design and software applications.
- Familiarity with ticket management systems and software certifications.
Physical Requirements
- Sitting for extended periods, walking or standing occasionally.
- Keyboard usage, lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Limited travel may be necessary.
