Amazon Web Services provides a highly reliable, scalable, low-cost infrastructure platform in the cloud that powers hundreds of thousands of businesses in 190 countries around the world. We are seeking a dynamic, organized self-starter to join AWS as a Senior Region Build Technical Program Manager, Region Services. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with Service Teams, Infrastructure, and Business Development to design and deliver new AWS regions, collaborating with Product Teams to design efficient solutions using resources and technologies.

You will be responsible for managing new region builds across the globe, supporting AWS global expansion as a technical program manager. A successful candidate will have a strong technical background, be detail oriented, and have excellent problem-solving abilities. The position requires a deep understanding of distributed system design and delivery, with the ability to represent program status to senior leadership.

This role will provide the opportunity to influence team decisions and drive secure and scalable solutions, as well as contribute to researching and developing new region build methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Manage new region builds across the globe, supporting AWS global expansion.
• Collaborate with Service Teams, Infrastructure, and Business Development to design and deliver new AWS regions.
• Design efficient solutions using resources and technologies, collaborating with Product Teams.
• Influence team decisions and drive secure and scalable solutions.
• Research and develop new region build methodologies.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
• 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience.
• 3+ years of software development experience.
• 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience.
• Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience.
• Experience managing projects across cross-functional teams, building sustainable processes, and coordinating release schedules.
• Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.
