Job Description
Amazon Web Services is seeking a Senior Region Build Technical Program Manager who will be responsible for managing new region builds across the globe. You will work closely with Service Teams, Infrastructure, and Business Development to design and deliver new AWS regions. This role requires someone with a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capability to represent program status to senior leadership.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Service Teams, Infrastructure, and Business Development to design and deliver new AWS regions.
- Work with Product Teams to design solutions that make efficient use of resources and technologies.
- Develop schedules to ensure timely launch of new regions.
- Assess risks, anticipate issues, overcome technical obstacles, and make difficult trade-off decisions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience.
- 3+ years of software development experience.
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience.
- Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams and coordinating release schedules.
