Job Description

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Software Development Engineer II to join the STRADA ADC Team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this role, you will design, deliver, and maintain innovative software solutions to enhance service performance, durability, cost, and security in the AWS Cloud.
Responsibilities
- Solve challenging technical problems across diverse projects and environments.
- Design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain innovative software solutions.
- Research and implement solutions to optimize customer experiences.
- Build high-quality, highly available, always-on products.
- Create metrics, implement automation, and resolve software defects.
- Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Contribute to business decisions with technical input in a startup-like development environment.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
About the Compensation
The base pay for this position ranges from $115,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Compensation reflects the cost of labor across multiple US geographic markets and may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
