Job Description

Galileo X Camp Directors are key members of our field team at Galileo Learning, assuming overall leadership of one of our summer day camp locations providing expanded learning opportunities to students in under-resourced schools. Responsibilities

• You’ll be responsible for all aspects of daily camp operations and run an efficient and joy-filled program. You’ll collaborate with and cultivate a team of 10-50+ summer staff, create and build partnerships, leverage existing training and resources, manage compliance processes, ensure all campers have safe and joyous experiences, and ensure camp has all the necessary resources and supplies to run smoothly.

Requirements

• 3+ years of work experience in K-8 education, or a combination of relevant collegiate coursework and work experience, with a strong preference for experience working in low-income communities
• Minimum of 1 year of demonstrated leadership experience and ability to coach educators toward success- management experience a plus
• Desire to build relationships with diverse communities of families and students
• Ability to communicate and connect with children across the K-8 spectrum
• Ability to work part-time remotely starting in January 2024, and full-time on-site starting in June 2024

• Total compensation range: $11,050 - $14,900
