As a Systems Development Engineer, you will work with some of the best and brightest engineers to build and maintain complex distributed systems for the U.S. Intelligence Community using the latest cloud computing technologies.

We are in search of smart, enthusiastic, and creative systems engineers with a strong background in solving challenging problems that span software development, systems engineering, and systems security disciplines. This position will require maintaining an active TS/SCI security clearance.

Relocation assistance is available for this position, and we are open to hiring candidates to work out of Seattle, WA, USA.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the implementation of innovative cloud computing solutions and support the U.S. Intelligence Community.
  • Design and architect new and existing systems with a focus on design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • Apply extensive administrative experience in networking, storage systems, and operating systems.
  • Identify ways to improve customer experience through tool improvements, processes, and documentation.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 1+ years of experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems.
  • 7+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, and hands-on systems engineering.
  • Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems).
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby.
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with PowerShell (preferred), Python, Ruby, or Java.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology.
