We are specifically looking for talented engineers with a solid background in solving hard problems that span the software development, systems engineering, and systems security disciplines. As a Systems Development Engineer, you will be part of a highly motivated team, improving the use of tools in both isolated AWS regions and in the AWS GovCloud regions.

The role involves working on some of the largest and most complex distributed systems in the world. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with some of the best engineers in the industry, further develop your skills, and advance your career within one of the most innovative and progressive technology companies.

Responsibilities

  • Identify ways to improve the lives of customers through enhancements to tools, processes, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with a team of highly motivated and talented systems developers and systems engineers to drive improvements.
  • Work on tools in both isolated AWS regions and in the AWS GovCloud regions.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • Experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems, as well as hands-on systems engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of networking, storage systems, and operating systems fundamentals.
  • Programming experience with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby.
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with PowerShell, Python, Ruby, or Java.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology.

Salary and Benefits

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $103,400/year to $201,200/year, with additional forms of compensation as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
