Job Description
Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. is seeking a Systems Development Engineer to join our team and work with U.S. Government agencies to implement innovative cloud computing solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to work with the AWS specialized group of service teams responsible for building complex distributed systems. As a member of the Serverless team in Seattle, you will have the chance to contribute to the development and support of fully managed services, including Lambda, Simple Workflow, Step Functions, and internal services that power cloud offerings.
We are looking for smart, enthusiastic, and creative engineers with a solid background in solving hard problems spanning software development, systems engineering, and systems security disciplines. The chosen candidate will be responsible for identifying ways to improve customer experiences by enhancing tools, processes, and documentation. This role requires maintaining an active TS/SCI security clearance and obtaining and maintaining an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph or commensurate clearance for each government agency for which AWS work is performed.
Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 1+ years of designing or architecting new and existing systems experience
- 7+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems, and hands-on systems engineering experience
- Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems)
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above
