Job Description
Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. is seeking a talented Systems Development Engineer to work with the U.S. Intelligence Community, contributing to the development and operation of some of the largest and most complex distributed systems in the world.
As part of the specialized group of service teams, the successful candidate will play a vital role in the implementation and operation of innovative cloud computing solutions to solve technical problems for U.S. Government agencies.
The Systems Development Engineer will work with the Serverless team, contributing to the growth and support of fully managed services such as Lambda, Simple Workflow, and Step Functions, as well as internal services powering cloud offerings.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and operation of large distributed systems
- Implement and operate innovative cloud computing solutions for U.S. Government agencies
- Contribute to the growth and support of managed services such as Lambda and Step Functions
- Improve the use of tools in both isolated AWS regions and the AWS GovCloud regions
Requirements
- 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 1+ years of designing or architecting new and existing systems experience
- 7+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems, and hands-on systems engineering experience
- Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals
- Experience in programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above
