Job Description
Orica is hiring a full-time Fleet Mechanic responsible for preventive maintenance and repair of equipment, particularly our fleet of delivery trucks. This role plays a critical support function in the regional business by managing the Maintenance operation and ensuring ongoing equipment support.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and repair of equipment, specifically our fleet of delivery trucks.
- Proficient in working on the truck's engine and chassis.
- Work on hydraulics, electric systems, electronics, welding, steering, and suspension.
Requirements
- Mechanical aptitude, ability to use shop mathematics, and manual dexterity.
- Knowledge of basic operations, hydraulic, electrical, and welding.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Internet, Lotus Notes, and SAP.
- Reliable, dependable, and ability to prioritize various projects.
- Experience with maintaining inventory of repair parts and preventative maintenance supplies.
- High School Diploma with Postsecondary trade or vocational school preferred. Certification is a plus. CDL Class B driver's license is a plus.
