Director of Finance

Job Description

We are looking for a seasoned finance professional to join the prestigious Chaminade Resort & Spa in Santa Cruz, California, as our Director of Finance. In this leadership role, you will oversee all financial aspects of our hotel operations while working closely with the General Manager and Executive Team. Responsibilities

• Manage cash flow and communicate financial issues effectively.
• Coordinate budget forecasts with the Executive Team and department managers.
• Analyze financial data to maintain financial objectives.
• Ensure timely reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
• Implement financial strategies and policies for efficient resource management.
• Establish and monitor internal financial controls.
• Prepare financial reports and provide insights on revenue generation and cost control.
• Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
• Maintain relationships with external stakeholders and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive finance or accounting experience in hospitality.
• Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance (MBA preferred).
• Ability to analyze complex financial information and prioritize effectively.
• Demonstrated financial leadership and strong knowledge of budgeting and forecasting.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
