Licensed Practical Nurse

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Vocational Instruction Project Community Services Inc. Reporting to the Nurse Manager, you will provide essential nursing care to ensure our clients receive top-quality and cost-effective services.

Responsibilities

• Promote professionalism, cooperation, and respect in all interactions with clients, families, and colleagues.
• Administer medication following established policies and procedures.
• Observe and report any signs of intoxication or medication side effects.
• Maintain accurate medication records and client medical documentation.
• Provide care within the scope of practice under the direction of a registered nurse.
• Participate in educational programs, meetings, and training sessions.
• Adhere to competency standards, including possessing a current NYS LPN License and Infection Control Certificate.
• Communicate effectively and maintain good relationships with all stakeholders.
• Demonstrate proficiency with computer systems.

Requirements

• Current NYS LPN License and Infection Control Certificate.
• Minimum one year experience as an LPN, preferably in a substance abuse treatment program.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to interact effectively with diverse populations.
• Proficiency in the English language.
• Ability to use computers effectively.
