Position Summary:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide quality care within the scope of practice outlined by the local state nurse practice act, and will be responsible for tasks, activities, and patient monitoring as directed by the healthcare team.
Minimum Requirements:
- Graduate from a Licensed Practical Nursing program.
- Current Practical Nurse license in the state of employment.
- Active CPR certification.
- Familiarity with state laws and regulations governing practice.
- Completion of initial and annual clinical competencies.
Essential Functions:
- Meet individual patient health needs methodically.
- Implement nursing care within scope of practice.
- Assist in developing and implementing patient education plans.
- Administer medications and provide wound care.
- Assist multiple patients as directed.
- Monitor vital signs, document actions, and perform other nursing duties.
