Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Mental Health Skills Trainer to join Marion County. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting individuals with severe mental illness by providing vocational services that help them secure and maintain meaningful employment opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Deliver Supported Employment services to individuals in adult behavioral health services, following the Individual Placement and Supports (IPS) standards.
- Create and maintain vocational profiles, develop job search plans, and provide job coaching and intervention when necessary.
- Conduct employment research, establish connections with employers, and educate them about the Supported Employment program.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and meet performance expectations for time and billing standards.
- Collaborate with the treatment team, participate in clinical supervision, and attend team meetings and trainings.
Requirements
- Three years of relevant work experience in behavioral health services or a Bachelor's degree in a behavioral science field.
- Current Mental Health & Addiction Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO) Qualified Mental Health Associate certification (QMHA) or ability to register within ninety days of hire.
- Valid driver's license, acceptable driving history, and ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Knowledge of mental health concepts, crisis intervention, community resources, and evidence-based strategies for skills training and recovery.
