Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Patient Care Technician-1 to join our team at MUSC. As a Patient Access Services Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, accurate registration, and billing support to ensure optimal payment for hospital and clinic services. This role involves verifying patient accounts, payment methods, and insurance information, as well as assisting patients with payment arrangements and assistance programs. Responsibilities

• Provide high-level customer service during patient registration.
• Verify and prepare patient accounts for billing accurately and timely.
• Assist patients in setting up payment arrangements and applying for assistance programs.
• Collect copayments, deductibles, and address basic billing inquiries.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 0-6 months of work experience.
• Patient Care Technician (PCT) certification preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Proficient in patient care techniques, effective communication, and collaboration.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and prioritization skills.
