Registered Nurse II- 9E Neuroscience Stepdown Unit

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse II to join our Neuroscience Stepdown Unit at MUSC. As a Registered Nurse II, you will provide individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients at a competent level, working with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe and effective patient care utilizing the nursing process.
• Interact with the healthcare team to achieve desired results.
• Monitor and manage high acuity adult Stroke, Neurosurgery, & Neurology patients.
• Maintain NIHSS & ACLS certifications with a goal of SCRN and CNRN certification.
• Adhere to staffing ratios and ensure safe patient outcomes.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred.
• Minimum of one year of work experience as a registered nurse.
• Licensure as a registered nurse in South Carolina or a compact state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform various physical tasks while maintaining sensory functions.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts and overtime as needed.
