Job Description
We are looking for a motivated Senior Claims Adjuster I to join our team at EMPLOYERS. This is a remote opportunity for individuals licensed in New York with extensive experience in managing complex workers' compensation claims. As a Claims Adjuster, you will independently handle a caseload of challenging claims, analyze legal issues, negotiate settlements, and ensure compliance with regulations. This role demands exceptional communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to deliver outstanding service to clients and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of high exposure, litigated, and complex workers' compensation claims.
- Investigate and analyze case facts, determine compensability, and establish accurate reserves.
- Negotiate settlements and handle claim litigation process.
- Communicate effectively with injured workers, employers, and medical providers.
- Mentor junior claims adjusters and provide training on claims management procedures.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and company policies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of New York workers' compensation claims adjusting experience.
- Active New York state license.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
