Licensed Veterinary Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team at Capital District Veterinary Referral Hospital. As an integral part of the Emergency and Critical Care department, you will be responsible for triaging patients, assisting in assessments and procedures, processing laboratory samples, and ensuring the well-being of our animal patients.

Responsibilities

• Triage incoming patients and manage client communication.
• Assist DVMs in patient assessment and treatments.
• Process laboratory samples and utilize imaging modalities.
• Execute and monitor sedation and anesthesia events.

Requirements

• Must be licensed in the state of New York.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in computer skills for a paperless system.
