Job Description
As a Safety Officer at Career Systems Development Corporation, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and maintaining a safe and secure environment for students and staff. By implementing comprehensive safety plans in adherence to Job Corps regulations, OSHA Standards, and company policies, you will ensure the well-being of all individuals at the center.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues.
- Develop and implement Center Safety Plans to safeguard students and staff.
- Provide training on fire safety and Blood Borne Pathogens.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment.
- Facilitate Safety Committee meetings and conduct necessary analysis.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and Emergency Management Services.
- Coordinate Emergency Drills and Environmental Inspections.
- Investigate accidents, maintain compliance reports, and design orientation programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 1-year security or fire prevention experience.
- Knowledge of standard security, fire prevention procedures, and OSHA requirements.
- Valid State driver's license and CPR/FA Certification.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse groups.
