Veterinary Technician - Neurology

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our Neurology team at the Wisconsin Veterinary Referral Center in Waukesha, WI. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality emergency and specialty veterinary care to our patients. This full-time position offers a competitive compensation starting at $21/hr & up, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, and retirement savings options.

Responsibilities

• Minimum of 2 years of technical experience required.
• Technical skills in restraint, phlebotomy, catheter placement, and general nursing care.
• Experience in anesthesia monitoring, EKG, SP02, Doppler equipment, and surgical assistance.
• Ability to lift and restrain patients up to 50lbs.
• Strong communication and organizational skills for client interactions and patient care.
• Advocacy for patient well-being and commitment to collaborative teamwork.

Qualifications

• CVT certification required.
• Self-motivated with a passion for veterinary medicine.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and participate in on-call rotations.
