Job Description
Join the Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans (MACV) as a Client Intake and Triage Specialist, contributing to the mission of ending Veteran homelessness in Minnesota. In this role, you will screen and assess Veteran eligibility for MACV services, provide referrals to community resources, and serve as the first point of contact for Veterans in housing crises.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Screen, assess, and forward eligible referrals for assignment.
- Document contacts and eligibility on shared databases.
- Collect additional documentation from eligible veterans.
- Ensure client confidentiality and provide support with administrative functions.
Key Skills and Characteristics
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Comfort with database management.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and tight timelines.
Preferred Experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Experience with vulnerable populations and community resources.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Valid Driver's License.
Compensation
Salary: $43,000 - $48,000 per year.
