Emergency Veterinary Technician

Ethos Veterinary Health, the premier veterinary group in Grayslake, IL, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Emergency Veterinary Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for triaging and providing essential care for patients in our Emergency and Critical Care Department. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a deep commitment to treating every client and pet with respect and empathy.

Responsibilities

• Triaging and managing incoming patients
• Assisting DVM's in patient assessment and treatments
• Completing patient treatments at scheduled intervals
• Assessing hospitalized patients and assisting with department organization
• Processing laboratory samples and utilizing imaging techniques
• Monitoring and managing anesthesia

Qualifications

The successful candidate must possess solid nursing care skills, anesthesia administration expertise, and strong communication abilities. While a certification or licensing as a veterinary technician is preferred, all skill levels are encouraged to apply. In addition, a high school education or equivalent, along with several years of related experience, are required.
