Highway Design Engineer

Job Description

KS Engineers, P.C. (KSE) is currently looking for a skilled Highway Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a part of our firm, you will work on a team of engineers to develop detailed designs for roadway and highway projects. The position requires technical excellence, proactive problem-solving skills, and a commitment to meeting project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team of engineers on detailed design projects including roadways, curbs, ramps, sidewalks, and driveways.
• Participate in the design and development of plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Stay current with design criteria and technology advancements.
• Proficiently use engineering software to complete project tasks.
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members to meet project goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 5-15 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Bentley MicroStation/Inroads/Open Roads, AUTOCAD, Bluebeam, and MS Office.
• Experience with highway/roadway drainage design preferred.
• Prior experience with CTDOT design projects is highly desirable.
• PE License, preferably in the state of Connecticut.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
