Hydrogeologist (Early Career)

Job Description

Montgomery & Associates (M&A) is looking for a full-time early-career Hydrogeologist to join our California Team. The position involves providing analytical support for groundwater modeling projects and geographic information systems analysis. You will work closely with M&A team leaders, project staff, and project managers across our offices in Northern California.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to tasks focusing on quantitative hydrogeology and groundwater resources management.
• Interpret lithologic, hydrologic testing, and water quality data.
• Develop hydrogeologic conceptual models and water budgets.
• Evaluate hydrogeologic data gaps and prepare technical reports.
• Work collaboratively with task leads and project managers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in hydrology, geology, or engineering (graduate degree preferred).
• Knowledge of groundwater principles and hydrogeologic applications.
• Proficiency in ArcGIS, Survey123, SQL, and Access databases.
• Up to 4 years of environmental consulting experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in technical writing and analytical tools.
• California driver's license and ability to work in the field.
