Labor Relations Manager

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Labor Relations Manager to join NV Energy at our Sierra Plaza location in Reno, NV. As a key member of the Labor Relations department, you will be responsible for managing the development, planning, and implementation of labor strategies and policies. Your role will involve fostering collaborative labor relations, leading contract negotiations, handling grievances, and ensuring compliance with legal and contractual requirements.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and implement collaborative labor strategies in coordination with management.
• Lead the resolution of grievances and union concerns, participate in grievance hearings, and administer the grievance process.
• Participate in labor contract negotiations, arbitrations, and preparation of necessary documentation.
• Build and maintain relationships with unions, government agencies, and company leaders.
• Assist in developing negotiation strategies related to employee welfare, benefits, and contractual stipulations.
• Ensure compliance with all labor regulations, policies, and codes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, industrial relations, or a related field with 6 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of labor relations, HR practices, and applicable labor laws.
• Demonstrated skills in negotiation, communication, and advising in a unionized environment.
• Proficiency in PC applications, word processing, and spreadsheets.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual Salary Range: $100,700 to $118,400, with a Short Term Incentive Plan opportunity.
