Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team at Freeman Webb Company. Under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager, you will be responsible for the overall upkeep and repair of the physical plant. The role involves a variety of tasks, from electrical repairs and plumbing work to carpentry, painting, and groundskeeping.

Responsibilities

• Participate in various maintenance projects.
• Perform electrical repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Conduct plumbing work and repairs when needed.
• Replace and repair broken fixtures and appliances.
• Execute painting, carpentry, and groundskeeping tasks.
• Assist in custodial work and grounds policing as required.
• Ensure stock control and utilization of maintenance materials.
• Perform scheduled maintenance on equipment following manufacturers' recommendations.
• Maintain and inspect units, buildings, and common areas.
• Manage storage areas, supplies, and workshop organization.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior maintenance experience is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals and safety rules.
• Basic math skills and understanding.
• Valid driver's license and insurability.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work at heights.

Work Environment

The role requires physical stamina, ability to work in various weather conditions, and exposure to potential risks. The noise level is typically moderate, and safety precautions are essential.
