Job Description

We are looking for a Punch Press Setup Technician to join our team at Select Industries Corp. As a key member of our manufacturing operations, you will be responsible for setting up and operating punch press machines to produce precision metal parts according to specifications. Your role will involve machine setup, material handling, quality control, maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring safety compliance throughout the production process.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Setup: Prepare and configure punch press machines for production runs.
• Material Handling: Load materials onto the machine and ensure proper alignment for accurate punching.
• Quality Control: Monitor production output to maintain quality standards.
• Maintenance: Perform routine machine maintenance tasks to optimize performance.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve machine malfunctions to minimize downtime.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and procedures for machine operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• Proven experience in punch press setup and operation.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read blueprints and use measuring instruments.
• Knowledge of punch press machine types and safety regulations.
• Effective problem-solving and communication skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform bending and reaching tasks.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with varying conditions.
